Karl Ray Ogdie Jr. was born on September 29, 1951, in Grand Prairie, TX. In 1979 God called him to preach the gospel. He attended an Independent Baptist College in Arlington, TX and graduated in 1984. In June of 1983, Karl Ogdie started Trinity Baptist Church in Wills Point, TX, where he remained the Pastor for 18 years. Under his guidance and leadership, the church grew from 7 on the first Sunday to a big day of over 400 in a small east Texas town of just under 3000.

In November of 2000, he was called to pastor Lakeland Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX. Since 2000, there has been a steady growth both in size and in spiritual maturity. The church currently has 2 bus routes that run throughout the northern Fort Worth area into Saginaw. The church also has a Christian academy in its 6th year, a Bible Institute, and a Youth Department for teens.

Karl Ogdie has been in the ministry for over 29 years. He was a Professor for 10 years and served as the Executive Director of the Norris Bible Baptist Institute for 2 years. He is currently a Professor of Trinity Baptist Bible College in Arlington, TX, and has been serving there for 11 years.

Karl Ogdie has been married to Elizabeth Ogdie for over 38 years now. Together they have raised three sons that are currently in the ministry and serving God along with their families. He is the proud grandfather of 9 grandkids.
